The PGA Show: Everyone Leaves a Winner!

Director of Golf Kevin Cuervo offers a first-timers' perspective on attending the Orlando event.

I have to say, my first- time PGA show experience was both insightful and inspiring.  Frankly, it was beyond my expectations. Having all the top brands, innovative technologies, and key industry players in one place offers a level of efficiency that would be hard to find anywhere else. We had a chance to connect with our existing partners, explore new opportunities, and tweak our retail offerings at Jacaranda. In the end, our members and guests reap the benefits.

Meeting with trusted partners like Straight Down, PRG, Donald Ross Sport, Johnnie-O, and Full Turn Direct gives us a real leg up when it comes to gauging potentially popular summer and fall merchandise. We know our customer. Now we know the full range of options we have for satisfying their retail needs.  

The show also introduced exciting opportunities to explore new brands we haven’t previously worked with. Seeing their products firsthand makes it much easier to evaluate whether their quality, style, and vision would “click” with our guests. Being able to see and touch the products, provides a kind of insight that can’t be achieved from a catalog or online review.

 The PGA Show was more than just an event—it was a concentrated opportunity to refine our vision, strengthen our relationships, and discover new ways to improve the retail and operational aspects of our club for members and guests. Attending for the first time was a reminder of how important it is to stay connected to the industry and take advantage of opportunities like this to gain fresh insights. Honestly, I am already excited about next year!
